The British Friends of the Art Museums of Israel (BFAMI) will showcase a selection of works by globally acclaimed artists, including Isaac Julien, James Turrell, Michael Craig-Martin and Ron Arad, ahead of their annual Gala Auction at the end of the month. The exhibition of unique auction lots will be on view for a limited time only at Sotheby's London from 21 - 25 January, open to the public daily.
The British Friends of the Art Museums of Israel (BFAMI) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to raising funds to support educational programmes run by the Art Museums of Israel. The annual Gala event not only raises money and awareness for the charity's causes, but also provides a platform to celebrate and honour key figures that have supported the charity and its mission.
The 2019 Gala and Auction will honour eminent arts patron Wendy Fisher for her outstanding commitment to BFAMI and her dedication to philanthropy, alongside Guest of Honour, filmmaker and installation artist Issac Julien, CBE RA.
This year's even in generously sponsored by Sotheby's and supported by The Dorchester.
