A collection of 36 watercolours, which include views of Pinner locale, the south coast, flowers, still life and exotic lands, painted largely from 1940 to 1980 by Sidney W. Starling (1889-1984). These all interspersed with his career of working for the blind. Starling was a founder member of what became the Pinner Sketch Club and served as both president and secretary for different periods. Starling was awarded the MBE for having managed the Royal Institute for the Blind in London.
The exhibition is taking place at The Attic, a 17th century Grade II listed building in Pinner. This new gallery retains many of its original features making it a unique and atmospheric venue to view artwork in.
