Paperworks

An exhibition of work by artist Christine Rodrigues, focusing on paper, the fundamental material in her practice. Christine uses paper as a surface, printing, painting, mark-making and folding to create cohesive structures and patterns in book form as well as with large scale pieces. Christine's work responds to environmental concerns, places visited and wildlife, in particular, birds. The books are a vehicle through which Christine is able to combine a number of techniques and thoughts in a tactile format, sometimes to just be an art object in itself.

Christine is exhibiting at The Attic gallery, the upstairs of a 17th century grade II listed building and home to Pinner's oldest shop. This unique and intimate space retains many of its original features and creates an atmospheric setting for art.

Christine will be at The Attic to discuss her work and answer any questions on Saturday 10th and Wednesday 14th, 10am-Midday.
