In a stellar career stretching back almost 40 years, Tom Sheehan has photographed many of the iconic musicians of this era. Analogue is a collection of hand-printed images from his archive, including portraits of Tom Waits, Morrissey, Mick Jagger, John Lydon, Arthur Lee, Bruce Springsteen, Robert Smith, Thom Yorke , Echo & The Bunnymen, Coldplay and many more.

'I love to shoot on film, it's a medium that people remain interested in,” says Sheehan. 'The fact that it's printed by hand has a universal appeal to all creative people.”

Camberwell-born Sheehan began his career as in-house photographer at CBS Records in the mid 1970's. Since then, as a freelancer, his work has appeared in Melody Maker, where he was chief photographer for 20 years, Mojo, Q, NME, The Times, The Sunday Times, The Observer, The Guardian and numerous album sleeves. Renowned for his natural rapport with artists, Sheehan received the Record Of The Day Outstanding Contribution to Music Award in 2006, presented by his client Chris Martin of Coldplay. Still capturing iconic images, these days Sheehan mainly shoots digitally. 'I'm not spiritually ready to completely shake off my past,” he says. "I love digital but I like to go back to film once in a while".
